I’ve never owned a strap-on harness, but I’ve always kinda wanted one, despite not having a partner to use it with.  Imagine my surprise with I opened up the package from my friends at SportSheets and found their Simply Sexy Leather Harness and Skyn silicone dildo!

Of course I couldn’t resist trying it on right away.  It was super easy to put on, I just stepped into it like panties and pulled the straps on the side to tighten the harness so it fit snugly. The straps were set at their widest before I put it on; a woman more than twice my size would be able to wear this harness as comfortably as me.

Of course, what’s a harness without a “package”, so I unboxed the Skyn dildo, which has a flared base (perfect for anal play alone and perfect for a ring harness, like this one).  After a little fiddling I got it in – it turns out you have to unsnap one of the leather loops that holds the ring, slide the dildo most of the way through the ring, then loop the leather loop with the snap back through the ring (when there’s still room) and then slide the dildo the rest of the way through and secure it against the base by snapping the snap back together.  Make sense?  It’s actually really easy, once you figure it out.

Purple dildo affixed, I checked myself out in the full-length mirror – I looked smokin’ hot in the harness!  Then I walked around a little – guys, I STILL do not understand how you can walk around with those things dangling between your legs! – the weight of the dildo definitely put me off balance a little bit. haha

So there I was hot, and ready to pound something, but with no one in sight!  I actually don’t know anyone irl who would be interested in letting me use a strap-on with them.  But I knew I needed to test this harness out a little further for my readers – it’s not enough to know that it looks nice, you need to have an impression of how it preforms too.  So I decided that my leather couch would have to do, I knelt on the seat cushions and “fucked” the tight gap between two of the back cushions – it was actually REALLY fun!  lol

Now, on with the usual review stuff.

The harness is made of leather and is thong- style.  All three straps attach to a ring at the back and are adjustable (can fit up to 60 inch hips).  There is a ring on the front with two snaps affixing it to the base.  The ring means that you can use any dildo that has a flared base in this harness and you can switch out the ring for different sizes if you like.

The Skyn dildo is made of phthalate-free silicone which is also non-porous and hypoallergenic. It’s fairly thin too (just under an inch in diameter) which means it’s a pretty good dildo for anal beginners.

What I liked: As I mentioned above, I liked how easy it was to put on the the harness, it was very intuitive.  I also found it very comfortable to wear, the whole thing is fairly fexible  and didn’t feel stiff or awkward as I moved around.   It was relatively easy to affix the dildo (once I figured out the trick) and the harness held it quite steady; I felt like I had a lot of control when I was using it and it didn’t seem to chafe or feel like it would give me a bruise.  The Skyn dildo was also quite nice, it was flexible without being floppy, and fit very well into the harness.

What I didn’t like: oh gosh, I guess the only thing I didn’t like was not having a live person to try out the harness and dildo on! haha  Of course, it should be noted that this is my first harness and someone more experienced with using them might be a little more picky – but I thought it was great.

This toy would be great for: anyone new to harnesses, I found this one quite comfortable to wear and “use”.  Perhaps you’ll want a more heavy duty harness once you start using them more, but maybe not – this one may suit your needs perfectly.  Plus, it looks gorgeous on.

Based on my testing of SportSheet’s new Simply Sexy Leather Harness and Skyn Silicone Dildo, I’ve got to give them a 9.5 out of 10. (I took off 0.5 because there IS a trick to putting in the dildos):
