I’ve decided to double up this review because these two products go together: first you shave using the Coochy Shave Cream, then you spray on the Coochy Aftershave Mist. Thank goodness those nice people over at Classic Erotica sent me BOTH these nice goodies. ^_~
I received the green tea Coochy Shave Cream, it had a very light scent that just smelled clean and not overly perfume-y, which I liked; it was also green (obvi). There’s some interesting ingredients in the cream too, ones that are good for your skin and hair, stuff like: lanolin, jojoba oil, and hydrolyzed hair keratin. Coochy promises on their bottle that their formula is rash free and I found that to be true for my skin-type.
What I liked: As I mentioned above, I liked the light, clean scent of this shave cream. Although it looks green in the bottle, once you apply it to your skin the cream is pretty much transparent which makes it very easy to see what you are doing and which hairs need shaving. In fact, it did so well on my lady bits that I also ended up using it on my legs and under my arms too!
What I didn’t like: nothing really.
Now let’s talk about the Coochy Aftershave Mist. The idea is that this mist puts a thin barrier between your newly shaven skin and your clothing to help protect and soften the skin. The mist is also supposed to tighten your pores and help prevent ingrown hairs – however, I did still end up with a few ingrown hairs.
What I liked: I liked the smell of the mist, it’s a minty fresh scent that kinda made me think of plants. I also liked how it felt, tingly and cool. Plus is was really convenient that I could just spritz it on.
What I didn’t like: nothing really to complain about here either.
Overall, These Products would be great for: anyone looking for something new to try out with their personal grooming routine.
So far, these two Coochy products combined have earned themselves a nice little 8.5 out of 10:

I’ve got a background in cosmetic ingredients. Lanolin (fat obtained from wool) is one of the most common allergins. The rashes can be lingering in people that are sensitive. It’s also a cheap ingredient, one that you’ll see in low-end drugstore products only. I wouldn’t put a product with lanolin anywhere near my cooch, but I’m sensitive and also avoid synthetic perfumes, etc.
It’s not a fail-proof test, but if you get itchy/rashy from wool, you’d be wise to avoid lanolin in your skincare products.
Good to know! Oh, does it matter if it’s PEG-60 Lanolin?
That’s one of many lanolin derivatives. Not sure how it ranks on sensitivity scale, but anyone who’s sensitive to lanoline should probably avoid it.
Shay, you might like the SkinDeep cosmetic safety database, where you can search by brand or by ingredient. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/
You didn’t say that Coochie Cream is trying to market itself as a natural product. So I’m not trying to say it’s unsafe. It’s just that you mentioned lanoline and that jumped out at me as I always avoid it.
OT: I finally figured out a year ago that glycerine-based lubricants give me yeast infections. Glycerine is in almost all of them! After I switched to glycerine-free (Astroglide makes one) problem solved.
My face/body skin aren’t senstive, but my genitals don’t like a lot of chemicals. Don’t blame them.
I absolutely LOVE Coochy shave cream and have never had any issues with the product even though I have pretty sensitive skin. I have been using it for about a year on my bikini line and it really does give me a totally smooth shave without bumps or redness.
I also put together pleasure parties and have about a dozen other ladies hooked on Coochy shave cream! One lady told me she forced her husband to try it on his beard stubble, since he always got razor burn, and it worked for him too!
Love your blog BTW!
Big thing for me is how these creams smell and how bumpy they leave you. So I will probably give Coochy shave cream a try. Thanks for the heads up
