“Hi shay, Seems your always the best person to turn to in a time of need! My partner has been asking me what kind of things id be willing to do in terms of bondage stuff. I’ve looked through many websites and porn movies etc and cant seem to find something that would turn me on as well as him (although anything would probably turn him on) I’m trying to find something that would make me feel sexy as well as just being pleasurable & kinky. any suggestions would be great!“
To me, the easiest item to make you feel sexy while you’re engaging in a little bondage play is the silk scarf – well, silk scarves, to be precise. They’re soft and smooth; you can use them to tie someone to the bed (or a chair); you can use one as a blindfold; you can even use it to tickle or rub whoever has been tied up.
You might also enjoy a fun little toy that you (or both of you) could brandish; a gentle crop, like THIS, would be cute and would make a great noise, without necessarily causing pain (unless you wanted it to). If you decide that you do want proper restraints, get some nice-looking ones, like these or these. And check your local sex shops to see if they have a beginner’s kit like this one.
But even just a sexy costume for you to wear; a corset, thigh-high stocking, high-heels, a garter belt – whatever turns you on – can do wonders for sexy-ing up your bondage playtime.
I hope that helps! Have fun!
P.S. I’m sure my readers will be able to suggest even more exciting ideas for you to try.

When my partner and I worked through this question, we tried to start a business making and selling velvet and lace cuffs, under the name “Delightfully Cherished”.
Unfortunately we had no luck selling them. Maybe I should try to resurrect that site.
I think your ideas were perfect, Shay !
Silk scarves, bathrobe ties, thing-high stockings — all work nicely.
And padded or velcro cuffs are a great idea too, less intimidating and more comfortable than the real steel ones.
Dressing up to set the mood is always fun. Trashy Lingerie on LaCienega Blvd. in Los Angeles(they have a website) has lots of fun stuff to wear hat will get a guy (and yourself) going quite nicely when you are in one of those extra naughty playful moods !
One thing I find works great are strips of velcro fasteners you can buy for a few dollars at a crafts store. They have velcro fuzz on one side and the hooks on the other, and you can cut them down to the right side to easily tie up feet, legs, arms. These are soft and comfortable but also very strong! Also try pantyhose, or better yet, dress up trashy in a little skirt and have your man strip your pantyhose off you and tie you up with them before he gives it to you for being so trashy
hehe! I love it!
An former girlfriend of a friend of mine was rather into this sort of thing and had all manner of supplies in her “kink box”. One of these were a good amount of special nylon rope that was designed to feel silky against the skin (as well as the fact that it was fairly wide so that it had a lower chance of digging in), hold fairly complex knots, but not hold the knot so well as to require a sharp blade to free someone after some rigorous “play time”. I know this isn’t exactly something for beginners, but I figured to tell people that there they do have special rope out there in case the standard restraints aren’t your thing and you feel a bit of eastern inspiration in your bondage play.
Here’s a suggestion for all BDSM beginners–check out a good “how-to” book. And ALWAYS remember: play it safe! (Here’s another tip for beginners: pick up some good bandage shears from your local drugstore or the first aid section of your favorite dept. store, and keep them within easy reach of whoever’s calling the shots “just in case”–you can replace a silk scarf, pair of nylons, etc. much easier than a hand or foot that was permanently damaged from having its blood supply cut off for too long.)
Dan – maybe you should! :)
Annie – I agree :)
Anon – I like the idea of converting craft velcro for kink. haha
Maikeru – I would prefer that beginners not go for something complicated that they might need to be cut out of. I’ve reviewed from great beginner’s bondage toys actually that can be used very safely.
Darkstarr – once again, I’d prefer that my readers be extra safe and not ever tie each other up tight enough that any blood flow is restricted at any time. Like I said above, I’ve reviewed from great restraint toys that won’t cause any harm and that are super easy to use.
