It’s been a busy summer for me; I’ve been working at lot, had many different people who have demanded to spend time with me (^_~), and have been involved in various other time consuming activities (like trying to explain to Yuki why my laptop keyboard isn’t an appropriate place to stand or lay down and like learning how to play squash). The end result is that I haven’t been able to visit as many other blogs as I used to.
But I really didn’t realize how bad things had gotten until I was cleaning up my blogroll today. It seems like a lot of blogs have gone dark or have just been left, abandoned like a pretty party dress with a red wine stain.
This is the nature of “living” in the blogging neighborhood – many blogs don’t even make it to the 6 month mark, let alone last a whole year. And although it’s sad to lose friends, just like in a real neighborhood, there are always new people moving in to the adult blog community.
So my new neighbours (and my ‘old’ neighbours) don’t forget to stop in on your little semi-shut-in and let me know that I should be checking out your most recent posts!

Seems like a lot of people are in the “ebb” cycle of their blogging lives lately–I blame the summer heat. It is really weird to find people gone dark. But don’t worry, some of us will never go away!
